Call for stroke survivors and carers to help plan for future services

The Health and Social Care Board’s Stroke Network is hosting a meeting to discuss the future planning of stroke services in Northern Ireland in partnership with patient experts.

We would like to invite stroke service users and their carers from across Northern Ireland to attend the meeting on:

Date:  Monday 17th October 2016

Time: 2.00PM

Venue: Health and Social Care Leadership Centre,  The Beeches, 12 Hampton Manor Drive, Belfast, BT7 3EN.

The Board’s Stroke Network wishes to develop a group and establish regular membership of volunteers,  which will enable the Board to gather evidence of experiences of care. This will allow the Board to plan services in partnership with patient experts that truly meet the needs of stroke survivors and their families  and this will help the Board prioritise those developments that have most impact.

It is anticipated that the group will meet two or three times a year and reimbursement of travel and caring expenses can be claimed by service users and carers who come along.

If Belfast is not convenient for you please do still get in touch with us as we could arrange a meeting in another location if there were a  number of interested people.

If you are interested in attending our first event, please contact us as follows:
