HSCB Communications wins PR award

Infographic for Medicines Waste Campaign

The Health and Social Care Board’s Communications team won ‘the best low budget campaign’ at the Chartered Institute of PR Excellence Awards for its Medicine Waste Campaign recently.

The campaign highlighted how reducing waste in prescription medicine would help save precious health service resources.

The judges described it as ‘a powerful campaign with inspired content’ which helped re-educate people in the way they access health and pharmacy services; playing a role in influencing healthcare policy; and also in helping with the drive to achieve significant savings for the healthcare budget.

This was fitting recognition for the excellent work carried out by the Communications team in conjunction with Pharmacy and Finance colleagues and key partners on the design and implementation of a very strong and cost effective campaign.
