A series of events aimed at creating awareness for an Electronic Health and Care Record (EHCR) were held recently across Northern Ireland.
Over 320 Health and Social Care staff, from a wide variety of professions, as well as service users and members of the public attended the sessions in Limavady, Craigavon and Belfast. Everyone was keen to discover how an EHCR could support the transformation needed to deliver informed better, faster, safer health and social care services to our citizens.
HSC brought together 10 of the leading global suppliers to demonstrate their systems, talk about experiences and lessons from other health economies and ultimately to give visitors a chance to see how a new future could be supported by an EHCR.
Feedback from visitors was immensely positive. Comments included: “It’s great to see how the systems interact and how teams and patients will be able to access information”; “a very interesting day – exciting steps ahead” and “part of the problem is repeating your story over and over again, so I was really impressed with the integrated systems that are available”.
